Vijay denies Hollywood search

Vijay is busy working on his upcoming "Thalaivaa" with Amala Paul which is directed by AL Vijay.  The latest buzz in the cine grapevine is that Vijay is looking for someone from Hollywood to do a specific role in his film, namely Angelina Jolie.

Upon hearing this, Vijay denied the rumour saying, " There is no international singer featuring in the film. We are not looking at any Hollywood star for any such role. This is a figment of some people's imagination. The film is going good. We are shooting speedily in Mumbai and our next schedule will be in Spain."

Vijay launches 'Onbadula Guru'

Onbadhula Guru" is a film that has Vinay, Premgi Amaren, Arvind Aakash, Sathyan and Lakshmi Rai in important roles for which the music is composed by K, the youngster who composed tracks for 'Mugamoodi' and 'Yuddham Sei'.

The audio launch of this film is to be held on the 12th of February. The news is that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be heading the function and launching the album of "Onbadhula Guru". Also, the film is all set to be released later this month. Rumours have it that this film might be a remake of the famous Hollywood "Hangover". We have to wait and see if that is just a rumour or fact.

Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal and Mohanlal join hands

Kajal Aggarwal had given a hint about her next film with Vijay. Now, we have more news about the film. Well, she is all set to pair up with Ilayathalapathy after blockbuster Thuppakki. Rumour mills say that Vijay and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who was earlier part of many Tamil films including Kamal Hassan's Unnaipol Oruvan, are teaming up for a mega-budget film. The film has been titled as Jilla and it is produced by RB Chodhary, the father of actor Jeeva under the banner of Super Good Movies. The upcoming film will be directed by Nesan, who has impressed the actor with one-line story. It has to be noted that Nesan shares a good rapport with Ilayathalapathy from the days of Velayudham where the director assisted Jayam Raja. However, you might be surprised to know how RB Choudhary came into picture. Well, the producer had given first commercial blockbuster film to Vijay in the form of Poove Unnakaga under the banner of Super Good Films. The movie eventually brought him a stardom in Tamil industry for the actor.

Vijay's Thalaivaa is remake of Telugu Leader?

The title of Vijay's next film has raked in a huge response from his fans all across the globe. The name, Thalaivaa with the tagline 'Time to Lead' not only has mass appeal but also raises hope on his political entry. It was officially announced for the Pongal along with this, some of the posters of the film were also released. The first look is well-designed and Vijay will be seen waving his hands towards public. The official press release read, "Vijay's new Tamil film has been titled Thalaivaa. Director AL Vijay, Vijay and the producer have unanimously zeroed in on the title," said a statement from the production house. However, there are rumours that Thalaivaa is a remake of Telugu hit film Leader starring Rana Daggubati. The original version was a political-thriller directed by Sekhar Kammula. It is believed that the Tamil film could boost Vijay's political plans. The first schedule of the shooting has been completed, that includes two songs and three fights shots in Mumbai and second is expected to start in Spain. The film was launched in December and the movie is likely to hit screens in May 2013. Amala Paul, Sathyaraj, Santhanam, Suresh, Mano Bala, Abhimanyu and others are in the cast in the film produced by Chandra Prakash Jain. 

Thalaivaa is not about politics, says Vijay

The first look of Thalaivaa has been liked by every section of audience. More importantly, it managed to raise a debate on his political plans and it was believed that the film would revolve around politics. However, the Ilayathalapathy has denied it. Speaking to a leading daily, Vijay said that the film has got nothing to do with politics. But the actor refused to give further details about Thalaivaa. Producer Sunil Chandraprakash Jain claimed that they choose the title because it perfectly suits the Vijay image and the story of the film. In fact, the posters have also been designed keeping that in mind. Vijay's political entry in recent years has garnered a lot of attention. In 2011, there were wide-spread speculations on the actor's possible entry. But his father SA Chandrasekar has clarified that the actor would certainly take a plunge into politics but not in the near future. He had also added that the purpose of Vijay's entry was to serve the society. After facing a lot of trouble in releasing his films, the actor decided to support the AIADMK in the last general assembly elections.
