Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Shreya Ghoshal to delight fans

Whenever a Vijay movie is announced, fans are eager to know whether the star would be lending his vocals for one of the numbers in that film. For Thuppakki and Thalaivaa, the star sang two superhit chartbusters in Google Google and Vaanganna Vanakkanganna respectively and for Jilla, the question was again "Will Vijay sing?" 

 

Composer Imman had tweeted long back that they were making all efforts to make Vijay sing a song in Jilla and now he has come out officially and updated on his Twitter space that Vijay has recorded a lovely melody track with the queen among singers, Shreya Ghoshal. 

 

"#Jilla Its official guys!! Recorded Vijay Annan for an ethnic melodious number with shreya ghoshal..Lyric by Vairamuthu sir..Praise God!"

 

With Vairamuthu's masterly lyrics and with two highly popular singers on-board, this song has all the credentials to be the best song on Jilla's album already.

The Vijay - Kajal Agarwal pairing which worked big time in Thuppakki, particularly in the song sequences, is set to take it several notches higher in Jilla, directed by Neason. The director opened up about his Jilla pair in a recent interview. 

 

"Kajal plays a jovial Madurai girl in this movie and we chose her as her chemistry with Vijay in Thuppakki was awesome. In Jilla, it will be that much more intimate. For their duet that we are going to shoot in Osaka (Japan), Imman has expertly used a different variety of Japanese instrument which sounds like our flute. Vairamuthu has penned the lyrics and we are sure that this song will be a great audio-visual experience.

 

Cinematographer Ganesh, who has worked before in Aadhavan has also shot for ads featuring Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan. He is popular nationwide and we are proud to have him on board.

Vijay refutes rumors

Recently there have been rumors doing the rounds that Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay had met his fans in Kerala and had held discussions regarding his political entry. Vijay was apparently shocked by this and had come out in the open and dismissed it as baseless rumor.

In a press statement he reveals, “For the past 2 months, I have been shooting in Hyderabad for Jilla and was not in Kerala. I am confused to read such reports and so are my fans”. He further adds that he has taken it upon himself to deliver two films a year to his fans and is actively working towards reaching this goal. He also requests media not to give out false news to avoid confusion to his fans.

Vijay makes it a Japanese hat-trick

The Jilla team, including the lead pair Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Kajal Agarwal, will be visiting Osaka and a few other spots in Japan to can a duet song sequence between the 23rd and 30th of this month.

Visiting foreign locales to can song sequences isn't a new trend in Tamil cinema and film units have been travelling to the far corners of the globe in their attempt to showcase new, fascinating locales on screen.

For Thuppakki, Vijay and Kajal shot in Switzerland for the song "Vennilave" and it was an exotic treat for the audience. 

 

In recent times, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara and Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru also had their song sequences canned in Japan and Jilla will be a Japanese hat-trick for K-Town.

Imman is scoring for Jilla and he is joining hands again with Vijay, after Thamizhan way back in 2002. Super Good Films are producing Jilla on a grand scale and the movie is targeting a Pongal 2014 release.

இந்தப் படத்தில் விஜய்யுடன் முதல் முறையாக இணைந்துள்ளார் மலையாள நடிகர் மோகன் லால். நேசன் இயக்கும் இந்தப் படத்தில் விஜய் ஜோடியாக காஜல் அகர்வாலும், மோகன் லால் ஜோடியாக பூர்ணிமா பாக்யராஜும் நடித்துள்ளனர். காமெடிக்கு பரோட்டோ சூரியை போட்டுள்ளனர். இமான் இசையமைக்கிறார். இப்படத்தை ஆர்.சௌதிரி பிரமாண்டமாக தயாரிக்கிறார். 

இந்தப் படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு விறுவிறுவென நடந்து முடிந்தது. டாக்கி போர்ஷன் எனப்படும் வசனக் காட்சிகள் முழுவதுமாக படமாக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டதாகவும், இன்னும் பாடல் காட்சிகள் மட்டுமே பாக்கி என்றும் படக்குழுவினர் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். 

இம்மாத இறுதியில் பாடல் காட்சிகள் எடுக்கப்பட உள்ளன. ஜப்பானின் தொழில் நகரமான ஒசாகாவில் பாடல் காட்சிகளைப் படமாக்குகிறார்கள். 

இதனால் படம் பொங்கலுக்கு வருவதை 100 சதவீதம் உறுதியாகியுள்ளது.

All that remains in Vijay's Jilla

The filming of Vijay's Jilla is 80% complete and all that remains are the song sequences which would be shot from this month end. Foreign locales and sets put up in Hyderabad will be the scenes of action for the song sequences.

 

The complete production of the movie is expected to be wrapped up by December and the makers' Pongal release plans are on track. 

 

Mohanlal has just 5 days of shoots left for Jilla and he will be joining the team in November-end for these portions.

 

Neason directs Jilla, a Madurai based entertainer produced by Super Good Films and also starring the tall and chirpy Kajal Agarwal.
