The Ilayathalapathy thanked his Salem fans for organizing a function in which welfare measures to the tune of 8 lakh rupees were distributed. The star distributed sewing machines, wheel chairs and three-wheelers to the needy.
During his speech, Vijay thanked his fans for heeding to his request and working for the AIADMK’s victory in the state assembly elections. Though the function went of relatively well, a small scuffle ensued when some fans moved closer to the dais and the police had to resort to minor lathi charge due to which some fans were hurt.
